Continue readingIt’s a space design for a restaurant which serves coconut water hotpot. They abstracted the shape of coconut trees to a symbol-palm leaf and built it in 4-meter-long, 8 different shapes by green plated, mirror polished stainless steel. They rearranged and planted 475 metal leaves purposely into the space, the entire restaurant turned into a beautiful installation art. They also designed water feature, lighting, tables to enhance people's resonance. By using single material, factory pre-make-install, the cost and construction time is well controlled.
Continue readingBig Furniture Like a Cave This is the award-winning project won the Grand Prize of Art in Container International Competition. My idea is to hollow out the volume inside a container in order to build amorphous space like a cave. It is made of only plastic material. About 1000 sheets of the soft plastic material of 10-mm thickness were cut down in contour line form and were laminated like stratum. This is not only art but also big furniture. Because all the portions are soft like a sofa, and person who enter into this space can relax by finding the place suitable for the form of its own body.
Continue reading“Pixel” is the basic element of images, designer explores relationship of movement and pixel to become the theme of this design. “Pixel” is applied in different areas of the cinema. The box office grand hall houses a tremendous curved envelop formed by over 6000 pieces of stainless steel panels. The feature display wall is decorated with huge amount of square strips protruding from the wall is presenting the glamorous name of cinema. Inside this cinema, everyone would enjoy the great atmosphere of digital world generated by the cohesion of all “Pixel” elements.

Its flexible spatial layout ensures a seamless transition from exhibition to future commercial operations, delivering lasting economic and cultural value while driving the rise of ice and snow tourism in southern China.
Continue readingOn the facade of a century old building in Shanghai China, Mystical Serpent was created a lighting art installation, blending serpent legends from ancient China and Rome. The winding 3D inflatable snake body is made of lightweight recyclable materials. It passes through the walls and windows that present a pseudo 3D effect by covering printed murals and pasting glass stickers. This installation connects the horizontal and vertical spaces, creating a three dimensional sense as a whole. It also brings a new visual experience to this century old building.
